MILLBROOK ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (MEDC) BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPLICATION PACKAGE

MEDC has received vast interest in this opportunity.

To further clarify frequently asked questions, we have included a youth age range, (18-34) and an elder age range (65+).

Along with an anticipated time commitment for monthly board meetings (2 hours), keeping in mind there will be prep/pre-reading along with these meetings, and other potential time commitments such as emails, and other short meetings as required.

To ensure qualified candidates have ample time to submit their application, we have decided to extend the deadline for applications to March 22nd 2024.

Temporary Reduction in Water Pressure: Millbrook March 14

AFNWA is advising Millbrook residents that due to essential maintenance on the water tower, you may experience a drop in water pressure.

Work will begin at 8:00 am with an estimated time of completion at 5:00 pm.

We ask that residents share this message with fellow community members who may not have social media.

Millbrook First Nation - Food, Social & Ceremonial plans

The Food, Social & Ceremonial plans (FSC lobster, FSC salmon, FSC multispecies) were approved by Chief & Council on January 16/24. Please make arrangements to register with Millbrook Fisheries starting on March 18/24.

The Jakej/lobster Livelihood fishing Plan has also been approved and registration for that plan will also begin on March 18/24

PLEASE NOTE: Anyone harvesting outside of these plans will be doing so at their own risk.

Attention Sheet Harbour Residence

Attention Sheet Harbour Residents. The deadline to apply for compensation from the First Nations Drinking Water Settlement is March 7, 2024. A Millbrook Administration staff member (Megan) will be at the Sheet Harbour Wharf tomorrow, Wednesday March 6th, if anyone needs help with their application. She will be there from 10 am - 1 pm.
